Paekoa, This day, 10.40 a.m. There isa great flood ia the Ohmemuri river, and the whaif and shMmer gocds' sheds at Paeroa have bcon c.rriedaway. The Thames-Tauran°a coach has not yet arrived. The houses on the left bank of the river are flooded, and hare been abandoned. 11.30 a.m. On the right bank of the river Snodgms, Kennedy, and Pennel are floodad out. The Junction wharf is under wa'er. The mail coach is fast at the Komata, anu another coach has been sent from here to meet it. Cattle are swimming in the paddocks between Paeroa, and Puke. .. The Waitekauri bridge has been carried away, and is now at Mackaytown. A man was nearly drowned coming from the steamer, but was saved by Harry Me Williams. Later, 410 p.m. The Tauranga coach's wheels locked, and the pole broke in crossing the Komata ; the passengers are all right. "■ Bradley's up and-down coach crossed in safety. Mr John Earl reports that the Waitekauri bridge is not carried away, but the Owharoa bridge is gone. Douglas/ the driver of the Taurrnga coach, has taken the mail through on horseback. The storm still continues heavy in the Valley of Waitekanri.
