Mr Harrington, Secretary of the Irish National Land League has been arrested under a warrant and imprisoned.
News has been received here of a serious affray at Ibo Island, one of theQuerimba Group, off the Mozambique coast, between the natives and French labor agents. The former forcibly re« sisted an attempt to ship a cargo of laborers to the neighboring French Colonies, and firearms were used on both sides, many being killed and wounded. London, February 16. In the House of Commons yesterday the debate on the Speech from the Throne was adjourned. Pabis, February 15. The Bonapartist Bill, as amended in the Senate, was under consideration in the Chamber, providing for the banishment of the Dynastic Princes found guilty of attempting to subvert the Republic. The Chamber refused to accept the amend* I ment of the Senate of the substituted clause providing for banishment without trial, thus confirming the compromise agreed upon on the first inst. London, February 15. The total reserve in the Bank of England is £13,300,000, being an increase of £300,000 during the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is now 45 per cent. The bank rate has been reduced from 4to 3§ per cent.; market rates 3£. Consols remain at 102 J. There is no change to report in the markets for colonial securities or produce. The arrivals of wool to date for the next series of colonial sales now amount to 280,000 bales. The total probable Quantity to be offered during the series is 320,000, including that held over from last series. The market is very strong.

London, February 15. H.M.S. Iris has been floated off. Sir Arthur Gordon will probably be appointed Governor of Ceylon.
The prospectus of a new Australian Loan Company, with a capital of £1,000,000, and Mr Brett, as manager, has been issued.
The Committee of the Chamber of Deputies has rejected the proposed compromise on the Dynastic Bill, and advises the Chamber to insist on expulsion. The Paris merchants have requested President Grevy to adopt measures to terminate the existing crisis. : j
