A fisherman named Thos. Hew son was drowned at Oberongo Bay, Terawhiti, on Saturday. Along with a mate he was attempting to secure some gill nets, when the boat capsized. The latter clung to the boat and was driven ashose. Hewson managed to secure the mast, but became exhausted and sank. His body has been recovered. An inquest will be held.
