Constantinople, July 31. The Conference Fruitless. It has transpired that M. Onon, Bussian delegate to- the European Conference, has declared thut he will only attend its meetings fur the purpose of discussing the neutrality of the Suez canal. In consequence of the action of the Russian representative, the conference is now considered to have terminated. India's Responsibility. In the House- of Commons to-day, a resolution was passed requiring the Indian Government to defray the cost of the Indian expedition to Egypt, subject to a future decision of Parliament on the subject. Alexandria, August 1. England occupies the Canal, The Khedive has sent a communication to Admiral Seymour authorising the occupation of the Suez Canal by English forces. All the French war vessels which have been stationed here and at other Egyptian ports are now leaving.
