This day,
The murder case against Alexander Beattie was continued to-day. Evidence was given that the prisoner had on eleventh June told a man named Gollie that he had been up to his house on the night of the 10th, that he found his clothing ready for him, saw shirting made up. Evidence was also given that Beattie had been seen coming down Coal Pit Gully, where the body was found on Wednesday night with .a light, and that when he got within 150 yards of the main road he blew out the light and went with the geese.
