He had never seen defendant, who was living at Wakatewai. . Aperahama Potai said he remembered buying the goods from Mr Spencer. He had not seen Mr Spencer since he bought the goods. He only had to go once for the goods. He believed this account had been aet against his land account with Maekiy. He knew that Mr Mackay had taken the money out of the land revenue accruing to him. ..,

This case was adjourned until to morrow to enable Mr Maekay to be present. Court adjourned.
