Sydney, Wednesday.
In the Legislative Assembly last night the JBon. Sir Henry Parkes, Premier, referring to the steps which bad been taken by the Government in dealing with the Melbourne Creek Copper Mine Co., stated tlmt with the exception of tiir John Robertson, who resigned his portfolio on the 10th instant, the members of the Cabinet had throughout been of unanimous opinion as to the action which should be taken in the matter.
Another death from small pox occurred yesterday. Messrs Davis and Want have been retained by the Government to conduct the prosecution in the impending action in connection with the Milburn Creek copper mine affair.
Melboubne, Wednesday. Arrived; The Union Company's steamship Botomahana, f rom the Bluff, this morning. Sailed, this afternoon: The Union Conjpany'3 steamship Arawata for the Bluff. Messrs A. G. IJorton, B. M. Edgecumbe, and B. Tonks, of Auckland, are passengers by her. Some intending passengers, and a considerable amount of cargo tor New Zealand, were shut out. :
