This day.
Henry Kilminster, a farmer at Karori was killed by a tree which he was felling, falling on him.
A meeting of persons interested in the promotion of local industries and protection of certain trades was held last night. Mr E. Stout attended by invitation, and explained the working of similar societies in the South. A committee was appointed to draw up a resolution to be committed to a future meeting.
