The trial of Guiteau for the murder of President Garfield has commenced. The prisoner's behaviour is most eccentric, and it is believed he is feigning insanity. ": Paris, November 15. New French Cabinet. Freycinett and Leonary, who had accepted office as Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Finance respectively, having retired, M. Gamhetta will himself take the foreign portfolio, and M. Allain Jaige is appointed Minister of Finance. The other portfolios are filled as follows :—General Campenon, Minister of War; M. Uosseau, Minister of the Interior; M. Korvier, Minister of Commerce; and M. Bert, Minister of Public Instruction. The lattcr's appointment is unpopular, and the other Ministers are uew to political life.
