The Treasurer delivered his financial statement in the Legislative Assembly last night. It showed that the revenue last year amounted to £6,348,000, and the expenditure to £5,157,000. He estimates the revenue lor the present year at £6,241,000, and the expenditure at £5,961,080. No increase of taxation or of customs duties is proposed. The revision of the system of leasing pastoral lands is to be made with a view to obtain increased rents. The estimates of expenditure show increases on account of education, railways, and immigration.

Oats are to day three pence per bushel higher and a further rise in price is expected.
Sydney, Tuesday
News has been received that the schooner Henrietta, 29 tons, owned by Mr W. J. Pashley, of this port, has foundered at sea while on her voyage to New Caledonia, and that ten persons have lost their lives by the disaster. It has been ascertained that the vessel was overloaded when she left port.
It is expected that Government will shortly commence legal proceedings iv connection with the expenditure of the award to the Milburn Creek Copper Mining Company.
