At the Supreme Court John A. Gordon, for forgery, was sentenced to four years ; E. M. Syinons, tor forgery, to two years. The case of Gordon Phillips, for false pretences, is now proceeding. This is the last case on the calendar.

Wednesday

At the Supreme Court John Simpson, on a charge of wilfully and unlawfully fastening down the safety valve of a boiler, was acquitted. Joseph Skerrit was sentenced to three years' hard Ibbour for manslaughter.

Further prosecutions for grog adultera tion will shortly take place.
