Yesterday. At the Supreme Court today in the cases of claims against the Government arising out of the Kensington crossing railway accident the following verdicts were returned :— Mrs Mayo, who claimed for loss of her husband, £500; 0. 0. Armstrong, £200 ; Fairburn, £175 ; Lloyd, £75.; Keys, £50. Except Mayo's all the claims were for injuries. The point whether Government are liable in view of a section in the Public Works Act declaring any person on a line within a mile of a railway crossing when a train is approaching a trespasser, was reserved for argument in Banco. .
