Thi v s company has for some time past been crushing at the Herald mill, and cleaning up took place yesterday, the amalgam being retorted this morning. The yield has been 96ozs gold. For this return 93 loads of quartz from the stopes at the intermediate level have been put through. This return may be taken as a fair test of the the value of the lode, the quartz put through being general stuff without any picked stone. We may also mention that but very little of the reef broken down since Friday last, when an improvement took place, is iucluded in the present crushing. GOLD EETUENB. Southern Cboss.— A. crushing of 18 loads of general stuff for this company at the Alburnia battery has yielded the capital return of 35ozs 15 dwta gold. West Coast.—Weatherull and party have put through 22 loads at the Queen of Beauty battery for the splendid yield, of 106ozs 4dwts gold.
