Parliament was resumed yesterday, when it was announced that David Gaunson had resigned the portfolio of Minister of Lauds. It was further announced that the prorogation will take place on Wednesday, and the new session will commence on Friday next. In the Legislative Assembly a discussion took place in regard to the action of the late Commissioner of Tradu aud Customs. Mr A. 11. (.lark, on admitting barley free. Mr Clarke was charged with partiality and with acting ultra vires, and it was stated by Mr Graves, the new Minister of Customs, that the system would be discontinued. Mr Clarke defended his conduct, and then left the Chamber.
