RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

THIS DAY

(Before H. Kenrick, Esq., R.M.) CIVIL SIDE. GOLDWATEU V. REHA APEBAHAMA. Claim, £8 99 6d, amount of judgment summons. Mr Miller for plaintiff, Mr Campbell for defendant. All witnesses wer« ordered out of court.

Defendant deposed that since judgement had been obtained against him, he had received raoney to the amount of £280 from Mr Comer. Some time before this he received some other money, £50. With this last amount he had paid some debts, and also bought some goods. He had received some money from Mr Endres. He had paid debts with the £280, and among them was a debt of Pepene's. He had paid about half of plaintiff's debt, but had not paid the rest because he wanted to pay his other debts. Ho knew he was in the wrong, and would pay the rest of plaintiff's debt out of the money coming to him from Mr Spencer. He had some property, horse, land, &c. Mr Campbell asked His Worship to let judgment stand over for a fortnight, as by then his client would probably be in funds and able to pay the debt. His Worship said he could not do this ; it was very evident defendant had had the money to discharge this debt, and had committed a fraud by not doing so. He would therefore make an order for him to pay the amount claimed and costs within 14 days, or in default suffer one month's imprisonment. POWER Y. EEHA AI'EEAHAJIi. This was a similar case, the claim being for £6 14s. Mr Brassey appeared for plaintiff. The evidence given in the previous case was accepted for this one, and defendant was ordered to pay the amount in one month. . Judgments foe Plaintiff. Jackson v.
