This day.
Six bodies were recovered yesterday. Jonii Barry was recognised by a pocket* book containing a bank draft for £80. and one body—having on the remains of blue serge trousers and vest, with buttons ot the Union Steatnshippiug Co., an open faced gold watch, and.an old locket with two band clasps, and underneath. the words " Yours for ever "—is supposed to be that of the Chief Engineer, Innis. The bodies of W. E. Wilson and Hoderick Walsh were identified by papers found apon them. No papers were found on either of the other bodies nor anything which could lead to their identification. The Dunedin police left the beach early this morning, and it is understood that both Inspector Buckley and Detective Twohy follows them to morrow.
The friends of the late Capt. Garrard intend to have the body exhumed and taken to Christchurch for burial. Should the body of Mr .Ramsay be recovered it will also be removed by bis friends.
