Pabis, May 12. France's Policy concerning
Tunis.
Barthlemy St. Hilaire, Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a further statement in the Chambers to-day as to the intentions of the French Government towards Tunis. He announced that it had been decided to demand substantial guarantees from the Bey that the permanent quietude of the Tunis-Algerian frontier would be secured. He further made a complete disavowal of the belief which exists that the policy of the Government was directed towards the annexation of Tunis by France. St. Petebsbubg, May 32. Anti-Jewish Riots in Russia, Serious riots arising out of the strong anti Jewish feeling have occurred at several towns in Southern Russia. The conflicts haTe in some instances been most severe, and attended with much bloodshed.
London, May 12 Bradlaugn.
Mr Bradlaugh has written a letter to the Speaker of the House of Commons, protesting against his expulsion, and declaring that the same is illegal.
Mr Bawson has given notice in the House of Commons of a motion setting forth that the action of the Speaker in forbidding Bradlaugh's preseuce within the precincts of Parliament is illegal.
The Transvaal.
The Standard to-day publishes a telegram from the Transvaal stating that the troubles between the Boers and natives hare culminated in open hostility, and fighting of a severe character has taken place between them.

The Czar has issued a proclamation declaring his intention to maintain the autocracy in Russia, and to use every endeavor to extirpate sedition from the country. ■
