NEW NORTH DEVON.
70-feet level: has been strictly continued. For' the last 15 feet the reef has been much broken up—in fact, so much so that we find great difficulty in tracing both han^ng and foot-wall, but from the general character of this reef, I am not surprised as similar breaks have occurred along the line of reef of this level. Stoping has been carried on 83 usual, with similar results as last reported 160 feet Jevel: The reef still retains the same size, being upwards of 6 feet through the whole of which I am sending to the battery. Battery : On Tuesday last we made a sLart to crush at Bull's battery with 19 heads of stampers. Since starting the general stuff from all parts of the mine has been shaping for about loz per load I purpoce cleaning up on Friday next, when I will let you know the result.— John Wilcox.
