This day,

The Supreme Court, yesterday, granted an order, restraining the sale of the mortgaged freehold property under foreclosure in the estate of E. W. Mills and advertised for sale.

At the Magistrates Court, William Ebden, proprietor of the Thornton Club, .was charged with a breach of the Licensing Act by selling spirits in.a less quantity, thau two gallous. Two previous convictiods being recorded against him, he was fined £40 and costs, or in default three months imprisonment. ; A large native meeting commenced at Masterton to-day ; about SOO natives were present. The meeting is called ostensibly for a feast and a talk about God.
