This day,
The Judges of the Native Land Court have "arrived at a decision on the long pending case of the Poua block. They have made awards on the partition of the block oa the basis submitted by Mr Eees, giving 838 acres to the dissenters from the sale, and the balance, 18,362 acres to the remaining owners who had sold 12,000 acres for the purposes of G. M. Reed's special settlement. The Judges have consented to pass a deed of conveyance of those 12,000 acres ; on their being satisfied as to the surrender of the original lease. Existing certificate of
title is to be cancelled, and new certifi cates issued for the separate portions, as the lessees'- and all concerned have arranged for the surrender of the original lease and all the owners of larger blocks without an exception have already signed a deed of conveyance of 12,000 acres to Mr W. L. Bees. There remains how but the act of giving effect to the Court's decision in the prescribed terms.
