The Land Court sat again this morning Mr Sheehan stated that when the Court rose on Saturday it had made certain awards in the settlement of the Crown's claim in Tokoroa, Huihuitaha, and Pokawhenua blocks. The Crown claim varied from 25,000 to 28,000 acres, according to the quality of the land taken. It had agreed to take 25,000 acres which Mr Cussens was marking off on the plans, parties whose particular portions were being taken were then present, and prepared to agree to an order being made out. —Te Bangs Harepiapia, sworn, said he heard Mr Slieehan's stateniant to the Court about the land Tokoroa, and agreed on behalf of the Nyatoraita tribe to give the laDd to the Crown, the piece containing 25,000 acres. Aperahama Te Kume, sworn, agreed' to have his portion of Tokoroa block cut out for the Crown. Mr Sheehan understood tha.t the Court had then made an order for the Crown of Pokaiwema and Winhintaha blocks, less a i thousand acres. He likewise understood the Court made aD award of 17,865 acres in Tokoroa to the Crown. He would a'n..nounce in the case pf the award beiqg 'given to the effect that the Crown's claim over the rest of the Patetere block utterly ceases, and would be abolished. Tb\ Court adjourns to-morrow.
