REVIVALISM.

(To the Editor of the Evening Stab.)

Si E> Were proof needed that revivalists are not making the world any better, I need only to point to your contemporary's paper of this morning, to prove it. A"writer signed "Truth" insinuates I am,not. writing for the public benefit; anyway I am not writing for the benefit pi a. class. It is a fair inference that as M'jCruth" knows "P.8.P." and "Pro Bono Publico " are one and the same, thathis letter emanates from the Advertiser office; I have in a former letter stated I believe in religion, but not in it being used to make a rich man richer and a-poor man poorer. Another writer signing himself "Reddish" would not allow any articles to be published in your paper that does not suit his religion, and would not allow the public to judge whether it is good for society or no, and more, to show how religious he is, he would deprive you of a living if he could, and persuade others to do so too. I would be, glad to be informed by " Truth " through your columns how England is great through the belief in the Bible. I will quote one verse: "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Hettven." How could England believe in ihis and be rich and great? Ireland Kas the Bible, and she is poor enough. We believe in the Bible, and it has not made us rich or great.—l am, &c,
