Harbor Board.
The annual meeting of the payers of harbor rates was held in the Harbour Board office at two o'clock this afternoon for the purpose of electing three members for the new Board. Mr Hogg was called to the chair, and read the list of persons qualified to vote.
The following gentlemen were nominated :—Mr Thomas Veale, by Messrs Mennie and Marshall; Mr Leydon, by Messrs Brunton and Morriss; Mr 0. Stephenson, by Messrs Hansen and Onyon ; Mr Onyon, by Messrs Douglas and Grant; Mr Eead, by Messrs Marshall and Ehrenfried ; Mr E. McDonnell, by Messrs Clarke and McGowan; and Mr John Wilson, by Messrs Eead and Brown.
.Messrs Buttle and McCullough were appointed scrutineers. The poll resulted as follows :•— Osborne 23 Eead 22 Wilson 21 McDonnell ... ... 19 Ouyon ... ... ... IS ' Vea\e 17 Leydon... ... ... 17 The Chairman declared Messrs Osborne, Eead, and Wilson duly elected. A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business.
