Kauaeranga Boys' Sohool.
The prizes were distributed this afternoon by W. J. Speight, Esq., M.H.B. The room was decorated with excellent taste, being festooned with evergreens, and further embellished in appearance with pendant flags. In the left wing of the building the drawings of the pupils were on exhibition, all of which showed that great care and attention had been bestowed on them. Mr Horatio Phillips, the head master, in order to assist the boys in developing their ingenious propeusities, has set apart a table for exhibition of work done by them during hours of leisure. Some of the exhibits are excel-' lent, more especially the " Museum " and " Patent Bird Trainer," which are deserving of great praise. The girls also have not been behind hand, but have exhibited wax flowers and fancy articles in wool and paper.
