Meiboubne, This day. THE EXHIBITION. The British {Exhibitors to the Mel* bourne Exhibition advertise a picnio which they intend to hold on Friday next, the opening day. They do this in conse quence of a discourtesy which- they allege is shown by the Melbourne Commission in omitting to send them cards of invitation to the opening ceremony. The New Zealand exhibits are well advanced. Dr Hector, the New Zealand Comissioner, has prepared a handbook for distribution, containing concise and valuable information regarding the pro* ducts, progress and statistics of the colony. Mauritius telegrams to 18th instant report that engagements for New Zealand amount to 350 tons of sugar, including 250 for Christchurcb. THE CUP. Mata in strongly backed for the Cup in consequence of Camballo's victory. Melboubne, Monday. Arrived: H.M.S.'s Emerald, Wolverine, Cormorant, and Nautilus. Adelaide, This day. Messrs Frinder and Anderson's steam ship Clifton has arrived from Plymouth.
