This day. The agitation amongst the railway employees in connection with the ten per cent, reductiou, threatens to culminate in in a general strike as far as the AmberleyPalmerslon section is concerned. A mass meeting will probably be held on Friday, and should the contemplated notice be given and acted upon, all the men em* ployed on the above line will cease work at 1.15 p.m. on -Saturday, 11th September.
