In referring to a letter- published yesterday, signed " An Elector," who wrote of the unsatisfactory position occupied by the City members. Mr Pitt, M.H.R., has published a letter to-night, in which ho says ho is quite content to resign his seat and seek reelection provided Mr Adams does the same. , Oeal Find. On one of the city reserves situated within a stove's throw of the railway, indication of coal has been discovered. The seatn and shale an,d fire-clay is abaut 10 feet and has been followed over 100 feet. Tho coal is not so far off first class qfuality, but it is said to be exceptionally good for gas purposes.
