This day.
Walter J. Burton, photographer, George street, committed suicide this inornini? by taking chemicals. He had been drinking heavily of late
Friday. A HOKSEWHIPPING CASE.
Horsewhipping cases are somewhat rare in Dunedin, so that a mild sensation was caused in Watson's Cafe this morning, when an individual known as W. F. Howlett was soundly thrashed with a light walking-stick by Mr Herbert, better known as " Kostnos," the author of a pamphlet against the totalisator. A Court case will probable be the result.
