Steps are being taken to get up a winter steeplechase. It is understood that the Bacing and Jockey Clubs will unite to make the meeting a success. This day. P. D. Maney who .contended the last election for Napier has filed his schedule with liabilities, £22,021; assets, £20,420. £17,400 is secured by mortgage. At a meeting of creditors held yesterday it was resolved to withdraw bankruptcy and grant Maney twelve months to collect the debts due to him. The sensational revival services being held by the Be?.
