This day.

Fire. Two stacks of wheat belonging to Mr Foley at Pakako, were destroyed by fire on Saturday night between 9 and 10 p.m. They are believed to be insured but the amount is unknown. Foley was in Oaraaru at the time and cannot account for the fire. Child Murder. Julia Paul, who murdered her infant in gaol on Sunday morning was brought before the court this morning and remanded for medical examination as to her sanity.
