Last night.

A boy, aged 12, son of Mr Barton, a Wai pa settler, was thrown from his horse yesterday, and broke his right arm. Dr Sands attended to the sufferer, who is progressing favourable. ■The Cavalry returned from the Thames to-day. A number of citizens turned out to meet them, also the Infantry Band. The citizens have a ball in the Odd Fellows hall to welceme them back.
