WELLINGTON.
This day. A man named Douglas was lost in the bash near Woodville for eleven days. He subsisted on berries. He states he saw the foot-prints of a boy and man whom he met on the road, and fears are entertained that they also are lost in the bush, as they have not since been heard of.
A charge of indecent assault against Bowden, bailiff was dismissed as the proseeutrix did not appear. - Boyd, who started on thiHl2 mile feat at 8.30 last night, completed 71 miles at a quarter past eleven this morning. He is not likely to finish more than 100 miles.
Last night. At an inquest this afternoon on the body of Miss Niccol, who was burnt to death this morning, the jury returned a verdict of " Accidental death, while in a state of intoxication."
