WELLINGTON.
Last night.
The Wellington Naval Brigade fired a match against the Dunedin Naval Brigade and made 660 points. This is the largest score yet made in the colony. Seaman Harris was top score with 76 out of a possible 84.
In a gazette notice the Northern Judicial district is assigned: to Justice Bicbmond. R. S. Bush to be E.M. for Opotiki and Maketu, and William Gilbert Mair, E.M. for the district of Eaglan, P. J. M. D. Waluasley to be Chief Glerk of the Land Tax Department, Richard Schmidt to be Draughtsman, H. Inglis, A. L. Haycock, W. A. Stycue, and John Shacsleton to be cadets in the Surrey Department. Receipts and Expenditure. The land revenue of the colony for the December quarter was £6(5,039 9s Bd.
The consolidated fund receipts for halfyear ending 31sfc December, were £1,306,967 7s Id with £657,609 from Treasury and deficiency bills and temporary deposits. The actual expenditure during the same period was £1,849.742 16s lid. :
