The Blue Spur Company.

Mr Perry, at the request of some intending speculators in the Blue Spur Sluicing Company, explained the intended mode of working, &c, on Saturday eight at the Hauraki Club It boms. There was a large number of persons present, and great interest seemed taken in the matter. Mr Pevry, with tbe aid of a black board, explained rtie machinery he proposed erecting to work the tailings. The great -difficulty in (he matter of working the heap of tailings from the Blue Spur, the accumulation of yeara, has been the want of a place to deposit them after the gold has been extracted, and Mr Perry's scheme bids fair to b« successful,

and holds ou£ the prospect of a rich reward being obtained. The matter is simply sinking an immense heap of tailings from one'part of a gully to another, passing then through sluice boxes, where the gold in them is intercepted. The machinery is simple, not costly, and easily erected, and the project has every prospect of being successfully carried out. Mr John Brown,: in a practical way, gave his reasons for going into the speculation, and so profitable would it turn out in his opinion that he had trie'cT to induce Mr Perry to confine the matter to a few, being prepared to tu'ce up rH the shares if they were withdrawn trom the market. A voie of thanks to Mr Perry and Mr Brown for their explanations was proposed by the I Chairman, Mr Brodiu, and carried.
