Last night. The Suez mail was delivered hero today, 9 days in advance. The Wellington Ladies Christian Association hare made arrangements for the establishment of a Home for friendless women.
At the inquest today on ths body of Amcri Pakarike, the jury returned the following verdict: —" That deceased came by her death in consequence of jumping out of a carriago, the horses of which had bolted, being frightened by the steam tramway engine. Arrived: Hinemoa from Lytteltori, Taiaroa from South, Waitaki from Nelson and Picton. Sailed: Waitaki and Hiuemoa South.
