Law.
The result of bad advice "by-
interested, parties.
The natives of Tokomaru state that 36 North Gisborne Natives gathered 3000 sheep on Arthur's run into a 3mall paddock, and threaten to turn the whole lot out on the beach, 300 young lambs have died through loosing their mothers, Mr Arther has a lease from the principal owners, and he has frequently told those who did not choose to sign, they could cut out their portion. Mr Arthur is acknowledged to have always treated the natives honorably and kindly. The leader in tho mischief ia an assessor from Wairarapa named Te Manibiri. Mr Hees aud Wi Perc indignantly disclaim any connection with the matter. Mr Arthur is taking proceedings to have the olfienders brought to justice. Capt. Gudgeon has written a strong letter warning the natives against doing Anything foolish.
