AUCKLAND.
This day. Francis Montague Pcmberton, lately employed by Messrs Wilson and Horton, proprietors of the New Zealand Herald, was to-day charged before Mr Barstow with embezzling £12 12s in August, 1878, £7 12s in May, 1879, aud £10 in April, 1879. Prisoner pleaded guilty, and was fully committed for trial, bail being accepted, himself in £300, and two sureties of £150.
