Colonel Pearce returns from his visit to England to-morrow, and the Artillery, of which he was commander for some years, intend turning out to give him a .recoptiou.
At the Court this morning, Hannibal Mendora was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for stealing a silver watch and £3, the property of Charles Coomb.
A large number of the immigrants arriving recently have been sent to the country districts.
