AUCKLAND.
Last night. . Tlie City Council Elections. The City Council elections are overshadowed by the general election. The following is the result:—For East Ward —N. Crowther, L. D. Nathan, and Graves Aicken were elected, and John Grey defeated. For South Ward—David Goldie, A. Fleming, and W. N. Offer were elected, and J. M. Lennox defeated. For North Ward —Thompson, Waddell, and Buchanan were elected without opposition.
At a special meeting of the National Order of Oddfellows a testimonial was presented to G.M., Michael Allen, previous to his departure for Australia. He leaves by the Hero.
Arrived : The Omaha, brigantine, from the Chatham Islands, and the Albatross, schooner, from Napier.
Sailed : The Hero, for Sydney.
