Rumored Staring of Public Works at Ohinemuri.
Mr Stewart, District Engineer, and Mr Beere, accompanied Mr Sbeehan and party to Ohinemuri to-day. It is authentically stated that >Mr vSheehan intends to carry out the policy shadowed in his address to the natives at Ohinemuri op Sunday last, and use the native outrage as a lever to compel the obstructionists at Kbmata and elsewhere to allow the unconditional establishment of both tele* graph and railway communication through the country most likely to be affected by the freaks of turbulent natives, viz.,,from Xomata to Te Aroba. If this is true, and we have reason believe it, out of what appeared to be a very unfortunate affair will come forth good. . - •.■;-.
