In the House of Lords to-day, the Lord President of the Council, in reply to a question, said the British Government intends Bending a physician to Astrakhan to report upon the plague.
The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Bank of England is £15,625,000.
London, February 13.
At a meeting of the London committee of the Sydney Exhibition to-day it was stated that the British Admiralty lends its valuable scientific apparatus for the exhibition.
It is further announced that France requires 6,000 metres of space. It is stated here that South Australia intends checking immigration.
