This day.
A narrow escape from a serious disaster to the Eeefton and Westport coach happened yesterday while fording the Ohika river. The coach and team were swept down the stream several chains, only escaping by a miracle. The people are very anxious that the Government should commence the construction of a bridge as soon as possible.
