BALCLUTHA.

This day. Two fires this morning. The house of Sievwright, shoemaker. The house and contents, except a few articles of clothing, were burnt. The origin is unknown. Insurance on building, £150. furniture, £50; both in the Colonial Office. The furniture and warehouse of Messrs Bain caught fire about three this morning and were destroyed. Insurance, £250, in the Victoria and £300 in the Colonial. The fire extended to the shop of Alex. Mason; shoemaker, which with the contents was consumed. The building and stock were insured for £430, and the dwelling was also considerably injured.
