Thames Harbor Board.
A speoial meeting of the Board, for the purpose of reoeiring tenders for additional silt works and collection of tolls, ras held at the Borough Council Chambers yesterday afternoon. Present—The Chairman, Messrs Price, Mennie. and Wilson.
The tenderi for the right to collect and retain the Burke-street Wharf tolls for six months were opened as follows:—S. C. Schofield, £52; Patrick Burke, £100 10s; G. H. Hall, £66; M. Murphy, £90i; Darid Edwards, £96; It. Hales, £9? 10s; A. Hart, £84; ft. Schofield, £110; T. Vowles, £100; J. McGregor, £108 ;.€. F. Quint, £100; Eichard May, £78; William Smith, £63; L. Melhoie, £90; O. Forrester, £62.
Mr E. Schofield's tender was accepted. The tenders for 16 chains of silt works were opened as follows:—Punch, £33 19s per chain (brace each); H. Haye, £32 10s; H. H. Adams, £26 19s; MeDermott, £29 ; Grogan, £49; J. Comes, £30; Butler, £26 13s. The latter tender being the lowest, was accepted. This concluded the business.
