The No. 1 Company concluded their shooting on Saturday afternoon for the belt, medal, and chaplain's prize. In our issue of Saturday we gave tho two highest scores of the morning squad, and we now give the principal scores of competitors in the first and second sets. The shooting was considerably above the average, and very closs. The belt was carried off by a young shot—Sergeant Moore—with a fine score of 66 points. Corporal Lucas and Sergeant McLeod tied for second place, Lucas winning, having the excellent score of 23 points at 6CO yards. The prizes in the first set were fired for at 4CD, 5C3, and 600 yards, seven shots at each range. Those in the second set were open only to i men who had never won a prize before in "the company. Eenges, 400 and 6C3 yards; seven shots at each. The highest score in the second set was made by Vol. Stockdale—4l. Major Murray also fired with the afternoon squad, though not asia prize -competitor, and made some of the finest shooting we have" chronicled for pome time, finishing with 70 points from 21 shots. The different prizes will be presented at the monthly inspection. There was a large muster of both companies at battalion drill in the evening, when the different movements were very steadily gone through.
