Hibernian Anniversary.
A highly successful evening party, ia' commemoration of the eighth anniversary of the Hibernian Australasian Catholic Benefit Society, was held at the Academy oif Music last evening.- There were about 120 present, 70 of whom were ladies, a^nd they entered with • great zest into the. exhilarating amusement. The following was the programme ,of dances : March, "First Set, Polka, Valse, Caledonians, Scbottische, Mazurka, D'Alberts, Galop, Lancers, Valse, First Set, Polka Mazurka, Valse,* Polka, March Waltz, Lancers, Mazurka,- Galop, - D'Alberts,- Varspviana, Caledonians, 'Valse, ScholtLsche,' 1 First Set, Parisian „ Quadrilles. ■ -The. ,music was supplied by the fine band connected with the Society, under the leadership of Mr D. O'Sullivan. Messrs Doran and Welch acted as M.C's. 'Messrs Foy, Twohill, Landers, and other gentlemen were indefatigable in looking after ' the comfort of those present.
