I hear that there is a probability of the above company soon commencing operations on its own account—a step induced it is said by the good prospects being obtained by, the tributers. The directors have not yet quite decided, but will do so within the next^few days. It may be mentioned that a few months ago the company commenced work, and spent what little money was in hand without profit. ' *
