QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
For the purpose of obtaining a permanent outlet for the water in the shaft while finking is in progress, the manager is at present boring a 3-inch hole> from the bottom of the shaft; to connect with the No. 8 level. This hole has been- bored some .35 fesfc, and if the drive is fairly underneath the shaft, connection Will shortly be established.
