May 17th (via Port Chalmers). The Annie Gambles, barque, from London, chartered by the New Zealand Shipping Co., attempted to enter the harbour last night and drove ashore on Te Wai's Point. She is a total wreck. No signals were made for the pilot. The pilot boarded as soon as she was seen, but the vessel was then hard and fast.
