Awfully Sudden Death

About half-past two this afternoon a boat arrived at the Albert street wharf from the Piako, wif!h the body of the master of the cutter Teviot, ■ /Stewart, who had died on board the cutter this morning. It appears that the vessel left Auckland for the Piako on Friday with a load of timber, and all went well until yesterday, when the man complained of a pain in the chest but did not give evidence of any symptoms such as alarmed his mate. This morning he was about the same until he was found dead in hia bunk. His mate and two Maoris brought him over to Grahamstowri. As there has been no post mortem examination of the body yet, the cause of death ig not yet known. We presume there will be an inquest. '
